Scope of works:
1. Existing roof membrane is asphalt on a timber close boarded deck. The asphalt has started to slump and the board joints have become visible.
2. The client did not want to strip the existing membrane for fear of water ingress and a temporary roof was not affordable.
3. We made good any defects in the asphalt and overlaid the existing membrane with a Langley Paracoat liquid system with integral anti-slip walkway for safe access for maintenance works. We issued the client with a 20 year labour and materials guarantee and eliminated stripping costs and use of landfill sites.
